NC4K Partners With NewOrg to Support Families With Childhood Cancer

NC4K, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families facing childhood cancer, has partnered with NewOrg to streamline service delivery, improve data management, and expand access to critical family support programs.

Founded on the belief that No Kid Fights Cancer Alone, NC4K (Nellie’s Champions for Kids) is a nonprofit organization providing critical financial, emotional, and community support to kids and teens battling cancer. What began in 2007 as a one-time fashion show organized by a determined teenager has grown into a comprehensive support network serving more than 900 registered families across Ohio. Guided by the values of Family, Community, and the belief that Small Moments Matter, NC4K offers financial relief for essential needs like housing, utilities, groceries, and gas, along with personalized emotional support through gifts that bring comfort and joy. Throughout the year, NC4K also creates opportunities for families to come together at events where they can relax, play, and connect with others who understand their journey. With signature events like the Back-to-School Bash and Reindeer Games Holiday Party, and expanded services through partnerships like Wheels for Aiden and the Sam Bish Foundation, NC4K remains dedicated to lifting the burden of childhood cancer and helping families focus on what matters most: being together.

As NC4K continued to expand its programs and reach more families, the team recognized the need for a more cost-effective and flexible data management solution. Although they had been using Apricot, the high cost and underutilization of the system made it clear that it was no longer the right fit for their organization. NC4K was looking for a system that could not only help them manage their financial and emotional support services more efficiently but also provide better value and easier access for their team. This led them to explore alternatives and ultimately select NewOrg as their new partner for data management.

  • Public Portal – Allowing families to apply for services, update profiles, upload files, schedule appointments, and register for events online. 

  • Data Migration – Consolidating and importing family records from their previous system into NewOrg’s secure platform
